How to pre-process the target track ?

Your song must be properly mixed before uploading. If you don't like your mix, chances are, you won't like your master either.

Leave some volume headroom on your mixed track (typically -6db). You can apply some compression, but do not apply a limiter, as limiting will be done during mastering.

How to choose the reference track ?

The reference track must have be in the same genre and "vibe" as your song.

Vocals make a big difference in track balance. If you are mastering a beat or instrumental track, preferably choose a reference without a singer.

If you upload your own reference track, make sure it is good quality and at a normal commercial volume.

About the mastering AI

By using this service you can automatically master any song (wav or mp3) to a reference track uploaded by yourself. This service is free up to 7 songs per week.

This service uses artificial intelligence and is based on the open source library matchering. The algorithm masters your track with the same RMS, FR, peak amplitude and stereo width as the reference song you choose.

Please note that we can only master songs up to a length of 10 minutes and 80MB - the limitation is necessary, so as not to saturate our server. You can check out results of our audio mastering in the examples section.
